This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers two groups of people: customers and website visitors (businesses that buy or inquire about our lists) and property owners whose public-record information appears in our lists.
What we collect. We compile information that is lawfully available from government records: deeds and related documents recorded with the Clackamas County Clerk, and property records published by the Clackamas County Assessor & Tax Collector. From those records we derive the new owner's name, the property address, the mailing address shown on the deed or assessor record, the recording date, the stated consideration (sale price), the document type and number, and property characteristics such as year built and square footage. We do not collect phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, financial account information, or any information from private sources about property owners.
How we use and share it. We organize these public records into weekly lists and license them to local businesses for direct-mail marketing under a written agreement that prohibits resale, prohibits use for credit, insurance, employment or housing decisions, and requires the business to honor removal requests. We do not sell the lists to data brokers.
Your choices. You may ask us at any time to exclude your name or your property address from every future list, free of charge, at freshdeeds.com/optout or by emailing justin@tradefrontnw.com. We apply suppressions within one business day. We cannot recall lists already delivered, but each customer is contractually required to stop contacting you on request. Because this information comes from public records, the county remains the source of record; corrections to the underlying record must be made with the county.
Oregon Consumer Privacy Act. Information that is lawfully available through government records is excluded from the definition of personal data under ORS 646A.570. We nonetheless honor opt-out and deletion requests for everyone, as described above.
What we collect. When you request a sample, contact us, or subscribe, we collect the information you give us: business name, your name, email address, phone number, the category of your business, your service area preferences, and your messages. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive your name, email, the last four digits and brand of your card, and your billing address, but never your full card number. Our email provider (Resend) records whether delivery emails were delivered. Our website host (Vercel) keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and performance. We do not use advertising trackers or sell visitor information.
How we use it. To deliver the service you asked for, to send your lists and account emails, to respond to you, to improve the service, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with law. We may send occasional product emails to customers and sample requesters; every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor requests within 10 business days.
Sharing. With service providers who process data for us (Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Supabase for our database, Vercel for hosting), each bound to use it only to provide their service; with authorities when required by law; and in a business transfer, in which case this policy continues to apply. We do not sell customer or visitor information.
Retention. Customer account and billing records are kept for seven years for tax purposes. Sample-request and contact records are kept for up to two years. You may ask us to delete your customer information sooner, subject to records we must keep by law.
Your rights. You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to marketing, by emailing justin@tradefrontnw.com. We respond within 45 days. If you are a California resident, this notice is also provided under the California Online Privacy Protection Act; we do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because we do not track visitors across sites.
Data is stored with providers that use encryption in transit and at rest, access is limited to the business owner and automated jobs, and lists are delivered only to the email address on the subscription. No method is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will notify you as required by Oregon law.
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We will post changes here with a new effective date and email subscribers about material changes. Questions: TradeFront NW LLC d/b/a Fresh Deeds, PO Box 912, Molalla, OR 97038 · justin@tradefrontnw.com · (971) 444-7790.
